HCS exam 2019 eligibility criteria
Educational qualification – Aspirants who want to appear in the HCS exam should have a degree in the Bachelor of Arts, science, commerce, or any technical subject in the recognized university.
Age limit – The age of the candidates who are going to appear for the exam should not less than 21years and not more than 42years on or before 11/03/2019. Check the official notification for upper age limit relaxation to a certain category.
Domicile – The application should have domicile of Haryana and must be a citizen of India.
How candidates will be selected

Preliminary examination – This exam contains two papers of objective type question, which carries a maximum of 200marks. The syllabus for the exam is general studies for paper 1 and optional subject (look at the official notification) for paper 2. It takes about 2hours to complete each paper.
Main examination – Those who have qualified in prelims will be taken to the main exam in which they need to appear for 4papers. It includes English, Hindi, general studies, and two optional subjects along with Viva Voce. The maximum mark of this exam carries is 675 i.e. 600(written) and 75(oral).
Personality test – Candidates who cleared the main exam will be called for interview in which your knowledge and ability in various sectors have been checked. Additionally, interviewer tests how you are making a decision in the toughest situations.
